Joomla! 6.0.0 Update Complete! Smooth Migration and Autumn Tasks

| Alaudae.JP

This autumn is really packed with things to do.

In September, I started by updating my macOS to "Tahoe" and got my environment ready. And finally, today this month! I have completed the migration of all managed sites to Joomla! 6.0.0, which has been a long-standing issue!

To be honest, I was bracing myself for "migrating to Joomla! 6," but it turned out to be surprisingly easy, and the migration went off without a hitch. Since this was an upgrade migration, it seems to go relatively smoothly if there were no problems when the site was on Joomla! 4 or 5. What a relief.

Minor fixes also implemented in parallel

Before the site migration, I re-adjusted the redirect settings. I'm using an extension for redirects instead of the standard Joomla! redirect feature, and it seems to be working for now. However, the redirect settings are not yet perfect, so I will need to gradually make corrections from now on. Although it's a painstaking process, it's essential for site operation.

Speaking of which, it seems the "format=html" issue has been resolved with Joomla! 6! This is truly great news. Previously, I had to fix it with every upgrade, which was time-consuming, so the fact that the upgrade process will be much easier now is a very welcome point.

Finally, concentrating on my main work... or so I'd like

With this done, I should finally be able to concentrate on my main handicraft site work...

However, I'm a little concerned about my physical condition due to the recent drastic temperature changes. I want to recover completely soon and catch up on my delayed work.

I will proceed while taking my physical condition into account, but I plan to further enhance the handicraft site this autumn!
