Joomla! 6 Migration Success Story and Gratitude to Akeeba
Akeeba's extensions turned my past failures and experiences into valuable assets.
Since all of my managed sites were easily migrated to Joomla! 6, I tried to figure out the reason, and the answer was simple:
It's because I experienced numerous failures and frustrations with Joomla! 2 to 5!
Thanks to that, I've gained a general understanding of what is good and what is bad regarding the fundamentals of Joomla!.
That's why I can generally guess the situation when I look at the Joomla! forum. However, since I haven't registered an account on the Joomla! forum (it's too much trouble to comment in English), I won't be answering.
The most common pattern is when an error occurs after restoring with Akeeba Kickstart, and then a huge fuss is made because they try to restore the original backup data without emptying the restoration folder first, leading to even more errors. I can immediately tell that this person hasn't used Akeeba Kickstart much.
Having used Akeeba Kickstart thousands of times, I know that Kickstart only restores the pre-configured backup as is, and does not delete the contents of the folder being restored to.
That's right, if an error or failure occurs, you must check the restoration folder yourself and delete its contents!
Those who don't know this almost always complain that Akeeba Kickstart or Akeeba Backup is at fault. It's ludicrous and makes me laugh.
I can confidently say that I can use Joomla! without worry precisely because Akeeba Kickstart and Akeeba Backup exist, and I can unequivocally state that Akeeba Backup and Admin Tools deliver their full potential by using the paid version, not the free one.
