It seems that Joomla! 4 was born

It seems that Joomla! 4 was born
Is it because of the heat wave and torrential rains of the summer of 2021?
I've been sick and in bed a lot, so I've been having trouble getting things done.

In the meantime, the major version Joomla 4.0 was released on August 17, 2021.
Since I was expecting it, I paused my other work to install and try Joomla 4.0.

This is the first time I installed Joomla4.
The overall UI has been redesigned, but there are no differences from the basic Joomla 3, so I'm sure I won't feel any discomfort once I get used to it.

I'm thinking of upgrading the current Joomla to 3.10 and then to Joomla 4.0, but I have to be careful here.
First of all, the number of extensions that are compatible with Joomla 4.0 is overwhelmingly small, and many of the extensions you use are not yet compatible with Joomla 4.0, and even if they are, there are many reports of problems and failures in the community.

And even if they do, there are many reports of problems and failures in the community, or data that would normally be removed by an update remains intact, causing errors and bugs.
In addition, the seller announced that we should wait two weeks at the earliest before updating, so while we will test and demo the new version, we will have to wait and see for the current website.

I'm also having a hard time translating some of the extensions into Japanese from scratch.
(I've already spent a few days retranslating one extension).
So, to be honest, it's more trouble than it's worth.

Incidentally, as of August 2021, Joomla! has been surpassed by Shopify as the third largest CMS in the world.
It can no longer be called the second most used CMS after WordPress!

However, I expect that Joomla4 will become more valuable for web building once it becomes stable.
In the end, I think it's important to build a web site that you want to use!
