Web design project updates
Currently, the Alaudae.JP project is building a new template for Handicrafts Store☆ALAUDAE.
Along with that, I've been struggling with web construction for the past two weeks to improve my skills.
The reason is that Handicrafts Store☆ALAUDAE will also change the internal URL.
So you have to redirect the old URL with 301.
However, the store has a large number of pages, so you need to be creative in redirecting the old URL with 301.
So I decided to use a Joomla extension that can be used with my current skills.
owever, as I explain every time, many Joomla extensions do not support Japanese.
So in my case, I have to translate everything that doesn't support Japanese into Japanese myself.
Of course, even after the update, everything is translated into Japanese.
This is the only way I use Joomla since I don't understand English.
After all, it can be said that the extended functions cannot be used unless it is translated into Japanese.
I'm going to test a new extension using this method again, so even though I'm an incompetent person, I'll be spending a lot of time trying to understand it.
This time, we need to remember the meaning of 301 redirects and understand how to use them with extensions.
But thanks to the pain of learning every day, I can use it with basic settings.
I installed the extension on my main Alaudae.JP yesterday and tried it out, and it didn't seem to have any problems!
It was a moment of freedom from pain and anxiety.
Up until now, we have been using Joomla's simple redirect, but this extension makes 301 redirect even easier. You can also take security measures by preventing access to 404 pages as much as possible.
And the new URL is short! !
It's been a while since I got excited using Joomla's extensions.
It was really worth the effort.
This is ideal when you want to build a new website that reflects the old URL.
This is a recommended extension if you receive a request for web construction from Alaudae.JP in the future.
This is truly an update to an unfinished web design project.
Even if I don't get any work requests, I still manage the site, so I'm steadily improving my skills.
But would anyone ask such a suspicious old man to build a web?
