At that time, there were still few Mac users and only a limited number of browsers were supported, so I worked hard to create websites using various browsers. I started online advertising as a way to earn some pocket money, but the reward systems varied from a few yen per click to hundreds of thousands to tens of thousands of yen for contract completion. I used Google AdSense and Rakuten Affiliate and reached the platinum membership level, but even if I worked from morning to night, my annual income was only a few hundred thousand yen.
The struggle with an incurable disease and the temptation to try tricks
Meanwhile, I was afflicted with an incurable disease, and my income decreased and I was faced with restrictions on my working hours. I thought about trying out some tricks to earn money easily, but I gave up on the idea because I thought it would go against the original philosophy I had when I started using the Internet. I also had periods away from the Internet due to hospitalization and surgery, and my motivation to update the site also decreased. If I was going to leave it alone, I chose to close it down or suspend it.

So, in order to launch a full-scale business, I created Alaudae.JP. Today's online ads blatantly tell lies, and paid social media sites force users with ads they don't want to see, which only irritates them. That's why I completely eliminated ads on the site. It made my work much easier because I could freely layout without worrying about ad space. Furthermore, by adopting a responsive design rather than being bound by the uniform design of Japanese templates, I was able to provide a more comfortable browsing experience to more users.
